3/32" Dome Head Aluminum Pop Rivets with Steel Mandrel
When fastening flimsy materials to sturdier materials, dome head pop rivets are the ideal choice for fasteners.- These 3/32" dome head pop rivets have a 3/32” diameter, a head diameter of .198", and a shank diameter of .096".
- When installing pop rivets, the mandrel and the rivet body collide, snapping off near the rivet head to secure the rivet in place.
Key Features
These aluminum dome head pop rivets have larger heads than most other types of pop rivets. This is advantageous in that it increases the width of the load-bearing area, which gives them characteristics that are ideally suited for fastening thin and brittle substances to more rigid surfaces. These rivets have an incorporated mechanism (known as a mandril) that expands the rivet shank during the installation process. As the shank expands, it locks the rivet into place. These 3/32" dome head pop rivets come in various sizes (or grip maxes). The grip max indicates the maximum height through which you can install the pop rivet and still have it successfully grip both surfaces.
