Description
2-56 Button Head Socket Cap Screws Stainless Steel 18-8
Button head socket cap screws are the ideal blend of aesthetics and capability thanks to their rounded appearance and high torque abilities.
- #2-56 x 1/8" in size.
- The recessed Allen or hex key gives socket button head cap screws improved internal torsion as well as greater torque.
- Coarse threads (56 TPI) make these screws considerably easier to install.
- Because the drive is recessed and internal, you’re less likely to strip the screw.
Button Head Socket Cap Screws - Key Features
Socket button head cap screws have two main distinguishing features. The first is the button head. This head seats upon the fastening service, creating a smooth and finished appearance. It’s better for applications where the screw head will be readily visible.
The second feature is the recessed Allen or hex socket. This arrangement allows you to exert greater torque without the risk of stripping the screw. The fact that the driver is recessed also helps to improve the efficiency of the torsion, with more of it going towards fastening. In many types of fasteners, much of the applied mechanical pressure is lost.
It’s worth noting that these socket screws are available in a range of sizes, starting at ⅛” and going up to 1”.
